Having
grown up in Bucks County, PA, I used to shoot a lot of concerts
in the Philadelphia area before I moved to New York. I always
loved beautiful lighting and the allure of the stage.
I had seen for the first time in the spring of 2001, at the Keswick
Theatre, Midnight Productions' staging of "Jesus Christ
Superstar." It was exciting and memorable.
Under the direction of Newton Gilchrist, a more powerful presentation
of this musical you will not experience. The lighting design
by the immensely talented Alan Doak is spectacular. The following
year I was asked if I would shoot production photos of the show
for the company. I was delighted to have the opportunity
and accepted the offer.
Shooting
these pictures for the production of "Jesus Christ Superstar"
at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA, brought me back to my Pennsylvania
roots and to my love of stage photography. Growing up in the living
faith of God's word and knowing his grace through Jesus Christ,
this was a moving experience for me. God who has blessed me
so greatly throughout my career here allowed me to illustrating
Bible stories from my childhood. See more
pics from this series.
