Jerry
Hall , New York, W Magazine, 1981
Jerry
Hall was already a huge superstar model by the time I met her.
She was very nice, professional. I think I was a little apprehensive
that she might be difficult, as I also had two other very well known
top models also working on the same job with her that day.
We got together at Donna Karan's apartment that day and had the
girls get ready there. This was shot just down the street
from there. Fashion naturally by Donna Karen.
I
would meet Jerry again a few times after this in Paris, backstage
at some of the Haute Couture shows, where I shot special beauty
reportage features for W. She said she remembered me and was
very nice, I couldn't believe it, but was flattered. I had been a fan of the Rolling Stones and she of course was Mick's girlfriend and later
his wife. Before that she was the girlfriend of one of my other favorite performers, the founder of Roxy Music, the singer/songwriter, Bryan
Ferry.
