Battling
the elements for this cover shot of model Silvina, for TSL —
The Sporting Life, was a major challenge for the team in the drizzle
of this fall Conneticut day. Fortunately the enthusiasm
of Silvana was a key to the success of the shoot. For this
cover and the rest of this fashion story, Landis used a Nikon
F camera with an 85mm f2 lens and Tri-x film. Tatijana Suljic-Shoan
did make-up and hair, and Susan Sidor the fashion styling.

For
this cover of Melissa for lingerie trade publication BFIA's May
1996 issue, Steve Landis chose to use only daylight
to create a warm inviting mood for the photo. Landis used a Mamiya
RZ67 with a 110mm lens and shot EPR-64 (E-6 processed at L&I
Color, NYC) film. Luisi Smith did Melissa's make-up and Matthew
Williams her hair.
