The
style of New York headshots has traditionally been to show
a very "front-on" black and white close up of the face.
Steve Landis believes it is important to show more of the character
of the person and often times more of the body. Also more
and more actors and casting directors, especially in Los Angeles,
are requesting to see something in color. Typically, Steve
Landis will shoot a combination of tighter close ups for the New
York headshot market and a more pulled back three quater style shot
for the LA headshot market.

Landis in the moody atmosheric outdoor location know as NYC.
Make-up by Maria Pirone. LA or NY; most actors like to work
in both markets, so it is a good idea to work with several separate
headshot pictures, depending on the type of casting you are up for.
