First
ad photographed by Steve Landis to be published in American VOGUE,
Sept. 1980 issue of model Paris. Paris was a young model from
the ELITE agency whom with I had done some testing as a young photographer
and also some of my very first fashion jobs. She was modern
and had great energy. I liked to do lots of movement shots,
and some of my photographer influences were Avedon and Elgort.

One
of a series of hair ads of Janice Dickinson, published in American
Vogue, 1981. One of the original Supermodels of the mid ’70‘s
— early ’80’s, Janice Dickinson was simply super.
Janice Dickinson understood the camera and the craft of modelling
better than anyone that I ever met, with the possible exception
of Linda Evangelista.
